Alpen Capital highlights Emirati Artists at the Visions for Tomorrow Art Exhibition
UAE, 9th April, 2014:Alpen Capital and Alpen Asset Advisors Limited
in partnership with Mussawir Gallery organised an Art Exhibition for their clients
on 8th April at the Emirates Towers Hotel. The Art Viewing and exhibition titled
“Visions for Tomorrow – A Journey through Art” featured works of talented artists
from India, Pakistan and the UAE. The event also featured a talk on the topic “The
Art of Collecting” by Hala Khayat, Head of Sales of Arab, Iranian and Turkish Modern
and Contemporary Art at Christie’s Dubai.
“We organised this exhibition in keeping with our long standing tradition of supporting
Arts and Culture in the UAE. The Exhibition provided a platform to highlight the
work of three talented artists from the UAE. We have always supported local talent
be it through these artists at the exhibition or over the years through local musicians
at our Global Fusion concerts”,

This year's concert featured Grammy award winner Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt in the
lead on the Mohan veena - a rechristened version of the western Hawaiian guitar.
The concert also included musical geniuses such as Clive Carroll the brilliant acoustic
guitarist from the UK, Louis Banks, the grand master of Jazz music from India on
the Keyboards, the versatile Ranjit Barot on Western Drums and Percussion, Gwyneth
Wentink from Holland on the classical Harp, Mohamed Farghaly and Mohamed Mohamed
Farghaly from Egypt on the Oudh and Kanoo, Satyajit Talwalkar, one of the brightest
young tabla exponents from India, Elie Afif from Lebanon on the Bass Guitar and
the child prodigy Khawlah Al Rayhy from the UAE on the violin. Adding a visual element
to the musical fusion were Aditi Bhagwat from India and La Conja from the USA presenting
a spectacular fusion of Kathak and Flamenco dance forms.

to mark the launch of Alpen Capital ten years ago. It is amazing to see that what
started as a client networking event has evolved into a brand in itself featuring
over 90 internationally renowned musicians from around the globe. I am very glad
that our clients and special guests joined us in our ten year celebrations and enjoyed
the musical experience last evening",

The Exhibition featured works of Indian artists such as Arun Pandit, Arya C Chowdhury,
Gautem Dey, Mintu Malik, Jiban Biswas, Pakistani artists such as Ali Abbas, Ali
Asad Naqvi, Amjad Ali Talpur, Annem Zaidi, Jamshed Qaisar, Mashkoor Raza, Noreen
Akhtar, Qamar Siddiqui, Tariq Javed as well as Emirati artists such as Humaid Mansoor,
Tauseef Al Mullah and Yasmine Al Khaja.
