Rohit Walia founded Alpen Capital in 2005 in Dubai International Financial Centre. He is also the Executive Chairman of Alpen Asset Advisors Limited, which is an independent financial advisory and asset management firm that he set up in the DIFC in 2013.

He was also instrumental in setting up Bank Sarasin-Alpen in the GCC and India and was the Executive Vice Chairman & CEO of the Sarasin-Alpen entities from 2004 to 2013.

Rohit has 35 years of international banking experience with financial institutions based in Middle East and Asia.

His last assignment was with Mashreq where he was a part of the key management team, Dubai for more than 12 years. He has also worked with American Express and Bank of America. Rohit holds an MBA degree from the Schiller International University, London, UK.

Hans Kurmann

Hans Kurmann

Hans has over 40 years of experience in international banking with Union Bancaire Privee and American Express Bank.

Hans brings on board his in-depth knowledge and experience in Swiss private banking including Risk Management and Compliance. As Head of Treasury he supervised trading activities, developing investment strategies and was responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with global financial institutions.

Craig has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry globally, having held senior management positions in fund management firms, investment banking and fund administration. Craig is a Director with RoC Capital Management (Dubai) Ltd. and responsible for developing the firm to manage fund structures based in a variety of jurisdictions and covering a full range of investment strategies and structures.

Prior to joining RoC Capital Management, Craig served as a Director with Sanne Group Dubai Limited. where he was responsible for the group's open-ended fund administration service. Craig also served as Chief Financial Officer at United Investment Bank Limited and as Chief Executive Officer at Apex Fund Services (Dubai) Ltd. where he established the first fund administration provider to be approved by the DFSA.

He is also a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Eddie Villiers

Eddie Villiers

Over 30 years of experience in the international capital markets in a variety of roles.

He was at Rabobank for 20 years, the last 10 years as Global Head of FI Sales and Head of Markets Europe. He was also a member of the bank's European governing body, The Executive Committee Europe. He was also a member of the Risk Committee, ALCO, FEC Committee and Client Committee.

Eddie is also Chair of Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy.

As the Chief Operating Officer, Lakshmanan heads the areas of Operations/IT, Products and Finance. He is also the Senior Executive Officer of Alpen Asset Advisors.

Lakshmanan has been with Alpen Capital for 13 year and has a total of 36 years of experience in international banking in UAE and India.

He was also the Chief Operating Officer of Bank Sarasin- Alpen entities across GCC and India from 2007 to 2013. Prior to this, he was the SVP, Head of Planning & Management Accounting for Mashreqbank Group. Prior to this, Lakshmanan was also with Citibank for 5 years.

As a Senior Director, Fayaz drives client acquisition and advises clients on all aspects of wealth and asset management products and services for Alpen Asset Advisors Ltd.

Fayaz has been with Alpen Asset Advisors since 2020 and has more than 20 years of experience in the banking, insurance and financial services sectors across the Middle East and India.

Prior to joining Alpen Asset Advisors Limited, Fayaz was a Director at Mabledon Capital Limited. He has also worked with HDFC Bank Ltd, Private Banking as a Deputy Vice President in Dubai and as the Abu Dhabi Branch Head of ShareKhan Ltd. He has managed relationships of UHNWI, Corporates and Institutions for their Wealth Management requirements.
